Virtually there…

Frida Giannini has personally overseen the direction of Gucci’s newest flagship store, Gucci.com. The new site offers the full Gucci experience down to the personlised service you’d expect in the store, and it does feel as though you’re virtually there.

Gucci will be offering online users the chance to be granted an E-ticket to the Milan SS11 show, which means (though we are still trying to get our head around it) Gucci will showcase users live web-cams giving them a ‘virtual presence’ at the show, while they watch the live stream on the site. The aim is to bring together fashion buyers and media with virtual guests, who will be able to then meet other virtual guests via Gucci’s social networking platforms. Wow, what’s next, a luxury fashion house launches an online dating site? For lovers of Gucci looking for love…
